Why "Scarborough" Manor?

The Scarborough Manor Co-op, built in the 1960s, got its name from being located in Scarborough.

Scarborough is a .45-square-mile hamlet (unincorporated district) bordering the Hudson River which is mostly located in the village of Briarcliff Manor, with a few streets located in the village of Ossining. Scarborough Manor is on one of the streets in the village of Ossining, and as such the postal address is Ossining (although the post office used to accept the “Scarborough” address).

Scarborough, being an unincorporated district, depends on the village/town of Ossining for municipal services and government. School-age residents of Scarborough Manor (and all of Scarborough), attend the Ossining Union Free School District.

Scarborough Manor is just .7 miles from the Scarborough Metro North station, which is located on the Hudson Line between the Ossining and Philipse Manor stations.

The complex is loved by residents and has a 5 star rating in Google.
