Outdoor Heated Pool
The pool features a beautiful view of the Hudson River to be enjoyed while swimming or lounging poolside. The pool, which is heated, stays open longer than most, typically until the first frost.
Clubhouse
The clubhouse is a great place to relax or host events. The clubhouse building offers a library, living area with couches, games tables and fireplace, kitchen for special events, billiards room, table tennis room, fitness room, sauna and showers. The clubhouse can be rented by residents for weddings, birthdays and other events.
Fitness Room
The fitness room offers a variety of free weights, weight machines and aerobic exercise machines so you don't even need to leave the grounds to get in your workouts.
Billiards Room
In the billiards room you can play billiards (pool) to your heart's content!
Table Tennis Room
The table tennis room is "home court" to a few residents who are accomplished table tennis players. For non-aficionados, it's OK if you want to call it ping-pong.
Sauna Rooms
The saunas in the men's and women's bathrooms in the clubhouse offer a chance to unwind and de-stress after a workout, a swim, or any other time you feel like a hot steam!
Staffed Gatehouse
The gatehouse at the entrance to Scarborough Manor is staffed at all times so that residents and their guests are welcomed, and guests can be announced. When guests arrive, the gatehouse attendant will call up to notify the resident of the arrival.
Parking
Parking in the parking lot directly outside the buildings is including in the monthly maintenance fees. During winter snowstorms with any substantial accumulation, snow is removed from cars free of charge. Garage parking below the buildings costs $63/month; on occasion all indoor spots are full and there is a waiting list.
River Walkway
The river-side border of the Scarborough Manor property has a paved walkway and benches so you can take a stroll with this beautiful backdrop any time.
Backup Generator
Scarborough Manor used to generate its own power with 2 large generators on the grounds. Power now comes from the grid, but if ConEd has problems and power goes out, within 30 seconds to 1 minute, a generator kicks on and provides power to the entire cooperative.
This perk is highly prized by residents, given the significant number of storm-related power outages in the area in the past few years.
Laundry
All floors have high-quality washers and dryers.
Storage Room
Large single-room storage area with individual cages in 2 sizes that can be rented by residents if needed.
Close to Metro North Train
The Scarborough train station is under 1 mile from Scarborough Manor.
