About Nettie Roth - In Memoriam

Nettie Roth
Nettie Roth

Long-time Scarborough Manor resident and all-around wonderful person Nettie Roth passed away in May 2023, after a prolonged battle with cancer. Nettie was an amazingly energetic and positive person, who never let difficult life situations get in the way of her enjoyment of life. The world was a much better place for having had her in it. She will be missed.

Nettie was an Associate Real Estate Broker with Schatz Realty Group, and a resident of Scarborough Manor since 2001.

Nettie had a multi-year tenure on the Scarborough Manor board of directors, during which she was not allowed to sell units at Scarborough Manor. She later stepped down and was again able to help others buy and sell in the community.

Nettie worked in the real estate business from 1983 to 2023. She started as a Senior Account Executive for a real estate investment banker.

The firm consolidated in 1990 and left the area, so Nettie went to work as a salesperson at Albert P. Schatz Realtors (now Schatz Realty Group) in Ossining.

She loved her work helping people with major life transitions.

Prior to getting involved in real estate, Nettie was the co-owner, with her artist husband, of a successful graphic design firm in New York City.

She was the proud mom of 1 daughter who lives in Texas with her family, and 1 son who lives in Massachusetts with his family. Her grandchildren total 3 – 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.

Nettie enjoyed traveling, both in the US and Europe (so far), sang in a choir, and was a table tennis player since her childhood in South Bend, Indiana (where at age 18 she was Indiana State Women’s Champion).
